Assistant Project Manager

Our client is a respected residential developer and homebuilder specializing in luxury single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and custom residential communities throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting project operations across multiple active residential developments. This Assistant Project Manager position offers direct exposure to leadership and the opportunity to work closely with project managers, sales professionals, field teams, and clients. The Assistant Project Manager will have visibility into all aspects of project delivery within a highly respected organization.

Job Description

  • Provide project coordination and administrative support for multiple Project Managers and the sales team
  • Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial documentation
  • Process and manage invoices and related project paperwork
  • Support day-to-day operations across several active residential construction projects
  • Coordinate communication between project managers, sales teams, field staff, vendors, and clients
  • Maintain project records and documentation using Microsoft applications and company-specific software
  • Help ensure project information is accurate, organized, and up to date
  • Provide general support wherever needed to keep projects moving efficiently
  • Visit project sites as needed to support the team and gain project exposure
  • Contribute to a fast-paced environment while learning all aspects of the construction process

The Successful Applicant

  • 1.5+ years of construction industry experience
  • Open to candidates from general contractors, subcontractors, or related construction environments
  • Strong communicator who can work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Willing to take initiative and assist wherever needed
  • Eager to learn and grow within a construction and development organization
  • Experience with budgeting, project coordination, or administrative support functions
  • Invoice processing experience is a significant plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing company-specific technology platforms
  • Flexible and willing to visit project sites when needed
