Description

Assistant Project Manager

Assist Project Managers with the planning and administration of construction projects. Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met. Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reports. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders. Assist with procurement and material tracking. Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and project requirements. Support closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation.

A successful Building and Construction Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of construction project management experience, internships, or related industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with construction management software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
