    Assistant Project Manager (HVAC / Construction / Plumbing)

    Office-Based | Experienced | Non-Union

    Provides comprehensive project coordination and administrative support to Project Managers overseeing HVAC, construction, and plumbing projects. Ensures projects progress efficiently from pre-construction through closeout by managing documentation, schedules, vendor coordination, and communication across internal teams and external partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support Project Managers in planning and execution of HVAC, plumbing, and construction projects from bid award through completion
    • Prepare, track, and maintain project documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and closeout packages
    • Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely material procurement and job readiness
    • Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables; flag potential delays or conflicts proactively
    • Assist with budgeting, job cost tracking, change order pricing support, and invoice processing
    • Maintain organized project files in accordance with company standards and compliance requirements
    • Support permitting, inspections, and documentation required for HVAC and plumbing scopes
    • Serve as a liaison between office staff, field teams, vendors, and customers to ensure clear communication
    • Generate project reports, logs, and status updates for management
    • Ensure project documentation aligns with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
    • Assist with project closeout including warranty documentation, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and final billing

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Proven experience supporting HVAC, plumbing, or construction projects in an office or field-based role
    • Strong understanding of construction workflows, terminology, and documentation
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
    • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities
