Assistant Project Manager
Our client is an established high-end residential construction firm that has been operating in the Greater Boston area since the early 1990s. With a team of approximately 30 professionals, they specialize in some of the region's most prestigious and intricate custom homes, while also taking on select addition and renovation projects. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering highly detailed, design-driven residential projects throughout the Metrowest area and Cape Cod. With a significant pipeline of newly awarded work, this is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join a growing organization where they can take ownership of major projects and have a direct impact on their success. Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the overall management and successful delivery of construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and On-Site Construction Manager, the APM will assist with estimating, budgeting, scheduling, job costing, information management, quality control, and overall project coordination. The long-term goal is to develop this individual into a Project Manager capable of independently managing projects with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will have the initiative to take ownership, communicate effectively with project stakeholders, and continuously develop their construction knowledge.
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Assisting with estimating and preparation of project costs, including identifying potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.

- Assisting with overseeing the On-Site Construction Manager and ensuring work is progressing according to project requirements.
- Supporting quality control efforts and ensuring construction meets company standards and project specifications.
- Helping identify and resolve project issues while maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Participating in and eventually leading project meetings, ensuring priorities, responsibilities, and next steps are clearly communicated.
- Taking increasing ownership of project responsibilities with the goal of progressing into a Project Manager role.
The Successful Assistant Project Manager will ideally have:
