    Description

Our client is a Long Island architectural stone company working at the luxury end of the market. They fabricate and install cut-to-size natural stone — roughly 80% of it luxury retail, the balance high-end commercial and residential work. Projects run nationwide and the standard is exacting: brand standards, landlord and mall coordination, compressed schedules and off-hours work. Everything is produced in their own shop and installed by their own teams, which means the technical problems land in-house rather than getting passed to somebody else.

    The role

The Assistant Project Manager supports the project management team on fabrication and installation work. This is a straightforward role with no travel, and it is a genuine path to a full Project Manager role over time. If you are already running the paperwork inside a subcontractor or fabricator and want the next step, this is that step.

    What you will do

    • Run submittals, change orders, purchase orders and closeout documents across active projects.
    • Support the Project Managers on scheduling, procurement and day-to-day project coordination.
    • Track project documentation and keep the record straight as jobs move through fabrication and installation.
    • Interface with general contractors, architects and vendors on routine project matters.
    • Grow into project ownership as you demonstrate readiness.

    What we are looking for

    • Experience running submittals, change orders, POs and closeout documents — ideally inside a subcontractor or fabricator, where the paperwork carries real consequence.
    • Organized by temperament. This role rewards someone who keeps the record straight without being chased.
    • Light AutoCAD is helpful but it is not a gate.
    • Ambition toward the Project Manager track, and the honesty to say so.
    • No travel is required in this role.

    Compensation

    $75,000 – $90,000, salaried and full-time.

    Benefits

    • Medical after 90 days, with three plan tiers to choose from. The company contributes $975 per month toward the cost of the plan.
    • Vision and dental offered.
    • Supplemental benefit offerings — accident, hospital, critical illness and cancer plans.
    • Disability and Paid Family Leave.
    • 401(k) with a 3% non-elective safe harbor contribution — automatic enrollment after one year and 1,000 hours of service. The 3% goes in whether or not you defer anything yourself. Pre-tax and Roth options.
    • Profit sharing, at the company's discretion.
    • Annual performance-based bonus opportunity.
    • Two weeks of paid vacation, accrued through the year.
    • One week of paid sick time, separate from vacation and available in full from your start date.
    • Seven company-paid holidays.
