Position Overview
Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive infrastructure solutions supporting major energy and power delivery projects throughout the United States. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager III (APM III) to join their team in Corpus Christi, TX and support the successful development and execution of complex EPC and design-build projects.
The APM III will work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to coordinate engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, scheduling, and construction activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with experience in Power Delivery, EPC, utility infrastructure, or construction who is looking to take on increased responsibility and grow within a large, established organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, scheduling, and construction activities throughout project execution.
- Support the Project Manager with project schedules, cost tracking, financial reviews, monthly reporting, and overall project progress.
- Assist with subcontractor/vendor scopes, purchase orders, subcontract packages, and procurement activities.
- Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and project planning.
- Support RFI submittals, document control, and quality of technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables.
- Coordinate with Safety personnel on project-specific safety plans, incident reporting, and investigations.
- Assist with project closeout, warranty administration, post-construction cost reviews, and lessons learned.
- Support additional project and proposal efforts as needed and serve as acting PM when qualified and the PM is unavailable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 4+ years of construction project experience with exposure to engineering, estimating, procurement, scheduling, cost control, document control, and/or construction management.
- Experience with EPC, design-build, or turnkey construction projects strongly preferred.
- Background in Power Delivery, particularly substation, transmission, or distribution projects, highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across engineering, construction, procurement, and project controls teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard project management tools.
