What You’ll Do
You’ll support the Project Manager throughout the entire construction lifecycle — from pre‐construction planning to project closeout. As stated in the document, the APM is responsible for “all aspects of the project in the construction phase from pre-construction planning through completion of the project closeout under the direction and oversight of a Project Manager”.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project coordination — Assist the PM in all phases of the project and help maintain smooth operations.
- Problem-solving — Identify issues early and resolve them efficiently.
- Relationship management — Maintain positive communication with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Scheduling support — Help develop and maintain the overall project schedule.
- Document control — Manage submittal logs, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
- Technical review — Review drawings and specifications to fully understand project scope.
Qualifications
- Experience in federal commercial construction (preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to obtain clearance for government facilities (“Clean background – must be able to be cleared to access government facilities”)
- Procore experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow‐through
