Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Greenwich

Our client is a premier custom home builder specializing in luxury estates, waterfront residences, and architect-designed homes throughout Greenwich and the surrounding Fairfield County market. Their projects showcase exceptional craftsmanship, custom millwork, high-end finishes, and meticulous attention to detail.

As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Greenwich, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of custom home construction
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
  • Coordinating architects, interior designers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Assisting with procurement and contract administration
  • Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
  • Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
  • Supporting field teams and Superintendents with project coordination
  • Assisting with custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metalwork, and specialty finish packages
  • Participating in homeowner and project team meetings
  • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Monitoring project progress and assisting with issue resolution
  • Supporting project closeout and homeowner turnover activities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, or Assistant Project Management
  • Experience with custom home construction or luxury residential projects
  • Understanding of residential construction from sitework through final completion
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Exposure to custom millwork, luxury finishes, cabinetry, stonework, and specialty materials
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or related construction software preferred
  • Desire to advance into a Project Manager role
