Assistant Project Manager, Commercial & K-12 (CMAR)

A commercial general contractor in North Carolina building commercial and school projects, including construction-manager-at-risk (CMAR) K-12 work.
MUST HAVES
- 3 to 6 years of commercial construction experience
- CMAR and K-12 project experience is a strong plus
- Organized and detail-driven, comfortable with Procore-style document control
- Lives within commuting distance of Raleigh-Durham
The role
You'll support the project manager on commercial and school projects, owning the paperwork that keeps a job moving: submittals, RFIs, logs, schedules and closeout documents, with regular time in the field.
What you'll do
- Prepare, track and log submittals and RFIs, and keep document control current
- Help build and update the project schedule
- Run meeting agendas and minutes
- Build O&M, spare parts and testing spreadsheets for closeout
- Check that subcontractors build to the drawings and specs, and help price change orders
- Walk punch lists before and after owner and architect inspections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
- 3 to 6 years of commercial construction experience
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
