Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Drywall

A growing commercial construction contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial drywall, metal framing, and interior construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developing construction professional looking to grow into a Project Manager role.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in commercial construction, drywall, interiors, or specialty contracting preferred
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage documentation and multiple priorities
• Comfortable working with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors

Preferred

• Commercial drywall or metal framing experience
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project schedules
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, OST, PlanSwift, or similar software
• Construction Management degree or related education

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with commercial drywall projects
• Maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation
• Coordinate materials, deliveries, subcontractors, and project logistics
• Track project costs, progress, and documentation
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes
• Communicate with field teams, vendors, general contractors, and internal departments
• Support project turnover, execution, and closeout

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

• Competitive base salary: $60,000 – $85,000+ (depending on experience and market)
