Description
Assistant Project Manager
Our client is a well-established, employee-owned general contractor with more than 80 years of construction experience and over $250M in annual revenue. With offices throughout the Southeast and licenses in 17 states, they have built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects while maintaining long-term client relationships, resulting in 95% repeat business. Their portfolio includes Telecom, Data Centers, Mission Critical facilities, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Retail projects.
Support Project Managers with the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects. Split time between the Charlotte office and active project sites, providing both administrative and field support. Assist with project schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. Participate in Telecom and technology-focused construction projects for major clients. Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:
- 3-4 years of commercial construction experience in an APM, Project Engineer, or similar role
- Comfortable working in both office and field environments
- Experience in Telecom, Data Center, Industrial, or other technical construction sectors is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
$65,000-$75,000 base salary (flexibility up to ~$85,000 for the right candidate) + ESOP and benefits. Clear career progression toward Project Management.
