As the Assistant Program Director, you are first and foremost responsible for increasing student achievement by consistently ensuring the implementation of instructional practices and strategies endorsed by ChanceLight Education. The position is primarily responsible for assisting the school director in directing and coordinating the educational, administrative and counseling activities within the school including personnel development, safety, and crisis management.
As the instructional leader, you will supervise site staff to assure quality instruction is delivered and ChanceLight policies and procedures are implemented in an effective and efficient manner. The position also calls for handling all inquiries, scheduling and conducting school tours. This position also oversees site operations and functions as the liaison between the site and the school districts' designated site contacts by establishing and maintaining positive, interactive, working relationships.

‖ Qualifications Required:
Master's degree or higher in special education, educational leadership or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining one or more of the following OH state special education instruction credentials:
Intervention Specialist- Mild/Moderate Educational Needs (K-12)
Intervention Specialist- Moderate/Intensive Educational Needs (K-12)
Primary Intervention Specialist (PK-5)
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an educational leadership, administration, principal or related credential preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in the development, assessment, and management of curriculum, content areas and instruction; preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting.
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other related disabilities.
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.
Effective management skills and comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, functions, and compliance requirements.
Prior experience and highly skilled in providing training, professional development and/or coaching to teachers and education staff.
Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers and community and/or business partners.
Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.
Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.
