Job Summary
The School of Management within the College of Business and Economic Development at The University of Southern Mississippi-a Carnegie R1 Top-Tier Research Institution-invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Management starting in August 2027. This role will support our undergraduate and graduate programs. The role includes research, teaching, student mentoring, and active engagement within the professional community. We seek a dynamic faculty member who brings significant professional experience in management to bridge classroom concepts with real-world industry practice.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
A conferred PhD in management or other explicitly business-related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution by August 2027.
A promising record of high-quality research and publication.
Documented evidence of serving as the Instructor of Record for at least two university-level courses.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
At least three continuous years of full-time professional experience in a management or leadership role within industry.
A passion for recruiting and retaining students.
The ability to build diverse student connections and business partnerships.
The drive to contribute to a highly collaborative team environment.
The ability to guide students into becoming professional problem solvers.
