- Provides inpatient Gastroenterology hospital care and consultations
- Provides outpatient Gastroenterology care in faculty clinics
- Supervises residents and participates in teaching activities for medical students and/or residents
- Collaborates with leadership group(s) to improve quality of care in inpatient setting
- Completes all medical records and documentation accurately and timely to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties

- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Gastroenterology
- Licensed or eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas
