    Description

    School Psychology faculty at Alverno College collaborate in curriculum development, teaching, learning and assessment, and program evaluation within School Psychology and the curriculum at large. Primary duties and responsibilities include:

    • Teach a range of courses in our Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology focused on bilingual and multicultural school-based mental health practices.
    • Supervise students participating in the Multicultural and Multilingual School Psychology specialization for both Ed.S. students and current practitioners.
    • Serve and collaborate in departmental and cross-departmental committees including Alverno's Multicultural and Multilingual School Psychology Advisory Board.
    • Engage in scholarship activities related to teaching and school psychology.
    • Active engagement in the field of school psychology including attending and presenting at state (e.g., WSPA) and national (e.g., NASP) conferences.
    • Commitment to recruiting and training students of color and/or populations that are typically underrepresented in the field of school psychology.

    Qualifications and Education

    • Ed.S. or Ph.D./Psy.D. with a School Psychology specialization required, with graduation from a NASP-accredited program.
    • Demonstrated ability to supervise school psychology graduate students.
    • Licensed (or license eligible) as a school psychologist.
    • Experience as a school psychologist is preferred.
    • Professionally proficient in Spanish.

    The School Psychology Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Program invites bilingual English/Spanishapplicants for a full-time, ten-month, Assistant Professor position beginning August 1, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the program's Multicultural and Multilingual School Psychology specialization program. The position is a full time, faculty exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
