Description
The Psychology Department at Stonehill College is looking for an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) role to begin July 2027. The new faculty member will join a department of 10 full-time faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise. The department also prides itself on supporting each other and supporting a quality work-life balance for all.
Responsibilities
Although the area of specialty is open, we are particularly interested in applicants focused on child psychology or forensic psychology. Strong candidates will be able to easily engage in active research with undergraduate students. Responsibilities may include teaching Introduction to Psychology as well as clinical courses such as Introduction to Psychopathology, clinical psychology, or courses in the applicant's area of specialty.
Typical Qualifications
We seek applicants who have completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduates, as well as a strong commitment to diversity and intersectionality. Experience mentoring and supporting students from traditionally under-represented backgrounds (first-generation, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, minority religion, etc.) is also preferred.
