Description

The qualified applicant will report to the Director of Athletics. This position is a full-time, nine-month, program-track appointment. Responsibilities

This individual will serve as the inaugural Head Womens Wrestling Coach, responsible for establishing and leading the Colleges new womens wrestling program. Responsibilities include all aspects of the programs first-year development, with a primary focus on recruiting student-athletes, building the inaugural roster, and creating a strong program foundation. Thereafter, the coach will serve in a full-time capacity, overseeing all aspects of the womens wrestling program, including recruiting, coaching, student-athlete development, scheduling, and program administration. Additionally, a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA (Division III member), NEWMAC, and institutional rules and regulations is necessary. The individual will also serve as a faculty member in the Department of Physical Education and Health Education with responsibility for teaching departmental coursework.

Qualifications

  • Interested applicants for this position will have a Masters degree from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to applicants with an educational background in Physical Education or a related discipline.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with at least two years of college teaching and/or head college coaching experience who can bring diverse perspectives to this growing department and who are motivated to help students succeed.
  • A valid drivers license, CPR and AED certification is required.
  • Applicants should have a commitment to work in a dynamic work setting with a diverse student population.
