Position: Assistant Professor of Economics
Department: Lundy-Fetterman School of Business
Status: Full Time
Position Summary:
The role occupant will teach introductory, upper-level, and graduate-level courses in economics and related fields. He/she will determine course content, learning objectives, pedagogical approaches, and academic assessment for each course. The incumbent will engage students in creative ways beyond the classroom, provide academic and career advice to students, serve on committees/other roles at the department, Business School, and university levels, and conduct scholarly activities (research, publication, presentations), He/she will serve as a collegial member of a community of scholars and learners, supporting and promoting the Business School's mission of providing students with a comprehensive professional business education that instills in them a commitment to service, lifelong learning, ethical behavior, and the free enterprise system.

Ability to communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Comprehensive computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and standard methods of digital communication, including web/text/chat platforms.
Proficiency/Advanced skills in Excel desired.
Familiarity with artificial intelligence, statistical analysis, and other tools desired.
Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with faculty colleagues, staff, students, and the public.
Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
Exercise independent judgment in complex, new, and/or stressful situations.
Manage multiple, concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a changing environment.
Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours and occasional travel, including overnight stays.
