Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, information technology, and other related courses. Assistant professors are also expected to conduct scholarly research leading to refereed journal publications, write grant proposals, and participate in industrial engagement, and professional, university, and community service. Opportunities for interacting with regional businesses are excellent and encouraged. The department and university offer several internal and external opportunities for professional development, including external grant proposal preparation and attending professional conferences.

A doctoral degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or a related field, or foreign equivalent, is required. Candidates with strong background in cybersecurity and information assurance are strongly encouraged to apply. Background Check Required.

Candidates must have the ability to work in the US without immigration sponsorship (such as, but not limited to H-1B, TN, E-3 or O-1 visa status) from Purdue University.
