South Carolina State University seeks a dedicated Tenure Track Faculty Position as an Assistant Professor of ComputerScience/Cybersecurity- Research Scientist to join our Col Science/Math & Engineering Tech team. This research-focused position offers the chance to advance cybersecurity knowledge while mentoring the next generation of technology leaders.

What You'll Do

• Conduct cutting-edge research in cybersecurity, network security, or related computer science fields
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and cybersecurity
• Mentor students in research projects and academic development
• Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary research initiatives
• Seek external funding through grants and partnerships
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement

What We're Looking For

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or closely related field
• Strong research background with publications in cybersecurity or computer science
• Experience or demonstrated interest in teaching at the university level
• Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, defense mechanisms, and industry practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
