    Appointment:

    School of Business and Leadership, full-time tenure-line Assistant Professor position; begins Fall Term 2027

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach business courses in business analytics, including several sections as needed of an introductory course with a significant accounting module (which must be reflected in the courses title).
    • All teaching should include projects that stimulate independent critical thinking, promote effective written and oral communication skills, facilitate experiential learning, and develop problem solving.
    • The standard teaching assignment is three courses per semester.
    • Other duties include research, service, university and departmental service.

    Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. or D.B.A. (ABD considered) in business, with a focus on business analytics, including data science, or data analytics, and/or AI.
    • Will consider Ph.D. in appropriate liberal arts disciplines related to business analytics, data science, data analytics, accounting, or AI.
    • Commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education.

    Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

    Faculty salaries at the University of Puget Sound are based on a common salary scale based on experience. Assistant Professor salaries in 2026-2027 begin at $85,177 for an assistant professor without a terminal degree in their first year of full-time post-doctorate teaching through $97,917 annualized based on experience
