    Assistant Professor of Biology: Anatomy and Physiology About Erskine College At the heart of Erskine College is its Christian identity. Description Erskine College (www.erskine.edu ) invites applications for a tenure -track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Biology. A broad background in biology and genuine enthusiasm for teaching in an undergraduate Christian liberal arts environment ar e essential. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach courses in microbiology, genetics, molecular and cell biology, and other courses within the undergraduate biology curriculum. We seek applicants who will complement and expand existing depar tmental strengths and who can contribute across multiple areas of the biology program. Additional expertise in areas such as developmental biology, neuroscience, biostatistics, anatomy and physiology, or related biomedical sciences is welcome. Previous undergraduate teaching experience is preferred. An earned Ph.D., M.D., DVM, or other appropriate terminal degree by the start date is expected; exceptional ABD candidates will be considered. Responsibilities Teaching load of 24 credit hours per year, with in -person teaching of lecture and lab. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory biology for science majors or nonmajors, senior seminar, and courses in field of specialty. Additional responsibilities include departmental, institutional, and church/community service. Faculty members are expected to embrace and support the Erskine mission statement.
