    SC State University''s Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor of Audiology and Clinical Audiologist to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Audiology.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supervise student practicums; provide a full range of audiological services, including diagnostic (hearing aid evaluations, otoacoustic emissions, brain stem audiometry)
    • Manage (hearing aid fitting and aural rehabilitation) for pediatric through geriatric populations;
    • Complete/submit research projects, grants, and presentations;
    • Contribute to the accomplishment of the program and college goals (strategic plan).

    Minimum Requirements for Entry into Position:

    • Au.D. degree required. Some university teaching experience.
    • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology and South Carolina License by the Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology, or be eligible.

    Preferred Requirements for Entry into Position:

    • Preference is given to an individual with a background in teaching and providing services to culturally diverse populations.
    • Experience with the school-aged hearing-impaired population and the potential to conduct and participate in research pertinent to clinical speech-language and audiology.
