The Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (ELPS) in the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at Florida State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-earning assistant professor position. We seek a colleague committed to research, mentorship, teaching, and advising. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in ongoing research in well-defined scholarship areas with clear connections to K-12 educational policy, advise professional doctoral students in our online EdD program, chair EdD dissertation committees, contribute to academic service, and apply for external funding to support new research projects.
ELPS strives to develop a deep understanding of, and respect for, our students and colleagues. The Department enrolls a sizable population of students in online EdD and master's/specialist degree programs, in-person PhD and master's programs, and hosts a program evaluation certificate program. We seek a colleague who is committed to and capable of effectively educating students across multiple programs, with a particular focus on advising EdD students.

The roots of FSU's Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences date back to the university's establishment, and it is the oldest college of its kind in Florida. The College is home to six academic departments united through a common goal to maximize human potential. In total, the College includes the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, Department of Educational Psychology & Learning Systems, Department of Human Development & Family Sciences, Department of Health, Nutrition & Food Sciences, Department of Sport Management, School of Teacher Education, numerous research centers, and three laboratory schools (Florida State University School, FSU Pembroke Pines Charter School, and The Collegiate School at FSU Panama City). Anne's College serves over 4,000 students via approximately 200 full-time faculty and nearly 80 full-time staff.
