Job Description:
The Department of Chemistry at Louisiana State University (LSU) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Computational Chemistry (broadly defined).
The successful candidate is expected to establish a nationally recognized and well-funded research program in computational chemistry, with particular emphasis on AI-enabled mesoscale modeling or AI-enabled chemical discovery, broadly defined. The successful candidate will develop and maintain an innovative and independent research program, demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to service activities that advance the Department and the broader scientific community.
The candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative research environment with opportunities to build interdisciplinary partnerships within the Department of Chemistry, the Center for Computation and Technology, and across Louisiana State University. Participation in collaborative research initiatives, including large-scale grant proposals and industrial partnerships, is encouraged. The candidate will contribute to a collegial, supportive, and welcoming academic environment.
