Overview
The Department of Music invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Choral Conducting beginning academic year 2027. Duties include directing one choir and teaching two music courses, including but not limited to general music courses (e.g., music appreciation, theory), choral methods, conducting, and other courses depending upon the candidate's interests and experiences per semester for a total of three courses, a 9-credit hour load per semester. Two concerts are performed each year, fall and spring. Other tasks required of the choral director include preparing the choir to sing at various College events that may include collaborating with other music faculty members, recruitment, attending and grading juries, student advising, and general tasks as needed assigned to faculty members.
