    Summary of Position

    Teaches courses in business analytics, in both face-to-face and web-based modalities, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Engages with the business community and profession; engages in ongoing development of teaching; conducts research in the discipline leading to presentations and publications in peer-reviewed journals; and contributes to the department, college and university in ways that support strategic priorities.

    The WCBA at Youngstown State University is an AACSB-accredited institution preparing over 2,000 students for careers with impact through our 7 undergraduate majors and fully online Master of Science in Business Analytics and Master of Business Administration programs.     Position Information

    Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

    Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

    Minimum Qualifications: An earned PhD in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Economics, or a related field in business from an AACSB-accredited institution; experience teaching courses in business analytics; and experience conducting research in applicant's discipline; exceptional ABD (all but dissertation) candidates will be considered with a letter of support from their dissertation chair attesting that all degree requirements other than the dissertation defense have been completed and that the chair expects the candidate to have the Ph.D. conferred within one year of the initial appointment; must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

    Preferred Qualifications: Ability to apply business analytics to business situations and applications in a hands-on learning environment. Experience collaborating in business or professional communities.

    Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.

    Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
