    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    The Department of Cell Biology & Anatomy at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is seeking applications for a position as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Rank and track to be determined by the candidate's qualifications. We are particularly interested in individuals with a background of research in cellular or systems neuroscience who complement and diversify our present base of expertise in electrophysiological, imaging, behavioral, and computational approaches. Significant collaborative opportunities exist on campus in conjunction with the Neuroscience Center and the Alcohol Research Center. Qualified applicants must have a M.D., Ph.D, or both; successful candidates must have a clear vision on how to maintain a funded research program, as well as the skills and publication record to support this vision. Existing extramural funding is strongly preferred. Salary and start-up packages are competitive.
