    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking an academic Pediatric Rheumatologist specialist to join our faculty group. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (non-tenure, clinical track) depending on prior experience.

    The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of activities. Primary clinical responsibilities of the position include patient care in a variety of settings including inpatient consultations at Manning Family Children's and other local hospitals as well as outpatient rheumatology clinics. Educational responsibilities include supervision and instruction of medical students, residents, and other learners from the multi-disciplinary community. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the advancement of scholarly or educational activities within the Department. There are abundant opportunities for educational, clinical, translational, and quality and outcomes research initiatives across the health sciences center.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Education: MD or equivalent

    Certifications or Licenses Required: Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) in Pediatric Rheumatology; licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before hire date.
