    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    The Department of Ophthalmology at the LSU Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking applicants for a faculty position as a Retina subspecialist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). The successful candidate will be expected to integrate clinical duties with departmental educational programs for medical students, residents and fellows. Engagement in and support of departmental clinical research is preferred. Practice locations are situated in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Houma.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Education: MD or equivalent

    Other Education if applicable: Fellowship training in retina

    Certifications or Licenses Required: Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) in Ophthalmology; Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before date of hire
