    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    The LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans, Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, seeks an enthusiastic faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (non-tenure, clinical track).

    The successful candidate will have an interest in academic medicine, an excellent training background and an interest in building an academic clinical practice focused in electrophysiology. The successful candidate will also participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. We welcome newly graduated fellows and early - mid-career faculty to apply. LSUHSC offers an excellent benefit package and salary is commensurate with experience.

    Candidate should be an MD, DO or equivalent, board certified in cardiovascular disease, and have a license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana, prior to the start date.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Education: MD or equivalent

    Certifications or Licenses Required: ABIM board certified (or equivalent) in cardiovascular disease; licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before start date

    Preferred Qualifications

    Certifications or Licenses Preferred: Fellowship training - Electrophysiology
