About the Job

The University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Family Medicine and Biobehavioral Health seeks a faculty member (0.40 - 0.80 FTE) for the education of medical students. Our regional medical campus at Duluth educates medical students toward medical careers in rural family medicine and Native American health, with early and longitudinal clinical experiences. This faculty appointment would be on the Clinical Track. The University of Minnesota Medical School is a world-class institution with a long history of leadership and discoveries that have changed the practice of medicine. We engage undergraduate students in science and medicine, educate medical students, and engage postdocs in research.

Job/Job Duties include:

The individual will spend their 0.40 - 0.80 FTE across the following duties:

Teach in the SERVE curriculum

Faculty Advisor

Clinical Skills Small Group Facilitator

Family Medicine Clerkship Didactic Lead for Duluth

Service responsibilities, such as serving on the Admissions Committee at UMN Medical School, Duluth Campus

Supporting students in scholarly activities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

MD, DO, or equivalent degree

Current Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABFM)

Active Minnesota medical license

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical experience of 5 or more years with current work setting

Rural experience

Teaching experience

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $68,800 - $137,600; depending on education/qualifications/experience and FTE

Time Appointment: 40% - 80% Appointment

Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
