    Responsibilities

    The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Florida State University seeks candidates for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in theoretical/computational chemistry and biochemistry. One position is open to all areas of theory and computation relevant to the chemical and biochemical sciences. The second position will focus on leveraging advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for chemistry and biochemistry, broadly defined. Applications where AI/ML work is complemented by experimental validation are also encouraged.

    The successful candidates will be expected to develop nationally and internationally recognized and externally funded research programs in addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

    Qualifications

    A doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in a related field with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service is required.
