    Job Opportunity: Assistant Production Manager

    Are you a meticulous and dependable team player with a passion for customer service? We invite you to join our KAAPA team as an Assistant Production Supervisor at our Aurora location.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Supervise: Crew Chiefs, Operators, Rover Operators
    • Ensure compliance with and follow all corporate guidelines and policies
    • Maintain confidentiality
    • Practice the proper use and treatment of equipment and property
    • Attend all safety meetings, follow all safety policies, and ensure strict adherence to all standard precautions and practices established to reduce the potential of occupational exposures
    • Assist in overseeing plant production
    • Maximize efficiency of production, production rate, and quality of products
    • Perform timely evaluation of night staff by written performance evaluations
    • Schedule and coordinate the daily work assignments and work shift schedules to ensure adequate shift coverage
    • Work with payroll to achieve accurate reporting of timecards
    • Complete weekly purchasing/ ordering for production needs
    • Respond to address complaints in a timely and courteous manner

    Working Hours:
    • Monday - Friday: 4pm- 12:30am and must be available for on a call-in basis as required as the plant is operational 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
     
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Engineering, Biochemistry, or related college degree, or equivalent experience preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in fuel ethanol plant supervision and process
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Detailed oriented and multitasking skills essential
    • Technical ability to understand ethanol production
    • Experience in interviewing, selecting plant personnel, establishing performance objectives and criteria, and conducting performance evaluations
    • Possess a documented successful track record in managing process facilities
    • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
