    Summary

    The

    Assistant

    Principal

    supports

    the

    Principal

    in

    providing

    instructional

    The

    Assistant

    Principal

    collaborates

    Qualifications

    Required

    Valid

    Connecticut

    Intermediate

    Administrator

    or

    Supervisor

    Certificate

    Master's

    degree

    in

    educational

    administration,

    educational

    leadership,

    or

    a

    related

    field

    Minimum

    of

    five

    years

    of

    successful

    teaching

    or

    other

    relevant

    certified

    educational

    experience

    Demonstrated

    knowledge

    of

    effective

    instructional

    practices

    and

    student

    learning

    Demonstrated

    understanding

    of

    elementary-aged

    students

    and

    their

    academic,

    behavioral,

    social,

    and

    emotional

    development

    Knowledge
