Assistant Principal of Southgate Anderson High School

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Principal of Southgate Anderson High School

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position will report to the High School Principal

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Credentials:

• Valid MDE Teacher Certification
• Master's Degree (minimum) in Educational Leadership or its' equivalent
• Valid School MDE Administrator Certification with Secondary endorsement
• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience in a public-school setting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid MDE Teacher CTE or Occupational Certification
• Successful Career Technical Education teaching experience
• Supervisory experience with Career Technical Education Program
• Clearly demonstrated effective leadership experience as secondary school administrator

ASST. PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Attendance/Truancy Grades 9-11
• Discipline Grades 9-11
• Teacher evaluations as assigned
• Crisis Team
• Department chair meeting leader
• ELL/WIDA students
• IEP Rep
• 504 plans as assigned
• Media exclusion
• Testing support PSAT/NWEA
• Residency
• Special Education
• Robotics
• Supervision
• Technology
• Other duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Salary, benefits, and calendar as established by the Southgate Principals and Supervisors Association (SPSA) Master Agreement
• Performance to be evaluated by the Superintendent of Schools
