    The Mahopac Central School District seeks to fill the following probationary position:

    Assistant Principal - Mahopac Middle School

    Qualifications and Preferred Skill Set:

    The successful candidate will be a student-centered educational leader who possesses strong instructional leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive school culture. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families while maintaining high expectations for student growth and achievement.

    Required Qualifications:

    ? New York State School Building Leader (SBL) certification.

    ? Demonstrated experience in educational leadership.

    ? Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data-driven decision making.

    ? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative leadership skills.

    ? Experience supporting student discipline, and positive school climate initiatives.

    ? Knowledge of MTSS, PBIS, special education regulations, and student support services.

    ? Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    ? Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    ? Proficiency with educational technology and student information systems.

    Preferred Qualifications and Skill Sets:

    ? Experience serving as a master scheduler or significant experience developing and managing master schedules is strongly preferred.

    ? Demonstrated ability to analyze data to improve student outcomes and school operations.

    ? Experience leading professional learning and supporting teacher growth through observation and coaching, including using the Danielson Framework.

    ? Experience collaborating with special education, counseling, and pupil personnel teams to support diverse student needs.

    ? Ability to work collaboratively with district administrators, faculty, families, and community partners.

    ? Self-reflective practitioner.

    ? Prior middle school experience a plus.
