    Role Description An Assistant Preschool Teacher is a part-time, on-site role located in Allen, TX. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 9am-2pm. This role supports the lead teacher in implementing daily classroom activities, including helping prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons, guiding children through learning centers, and assisting with curriculum-based projects. The Assistant Preschool Teacher helps maintain a safe and organized classroom, supervises children during playtime, mealtimes, and transitions, and supports positive behavior and social-emotional development. Responsibilities include setting up materials, helping with classroom cleaning and sanitizing, monitoring student progress, and providing feedback to the lead teacher. The role also involves regular communication with the teaching team, supporting family engagement, and adhering to school policies and licensing requirements.

    • Minimum age of 18 years old; High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Candidates must profess a shared Christian faith that agrees with our ministry-focused goals of providing and maintaining a Christian environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

    • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
    • \n
    • Candidates should possess basic understanding of child safety, supervision, and classroom management in a preschool setting is beneficial.
    • \n
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a lead teacher and staff, demonstrating reliability, patience, and a child-centered approach.
    • \n
    • Ability to help implement lessons, rules, and maintain order within the classroom according to procedures outlined by the teacher.
    • \n
    • Candidate must be physically capable of aiding the teacher in gathering supplies, copying, and assisting in the classroom as needed.
    • \n
    • Candidate should exhibit a willingness to give each child the attention needed to assure his/her best welfare. This relates to eating, toileting, sleeping, playing, working, healthcare, and safety.

    • Ability to implement and maintain the classroom routines and lesson plans in the teacher's absence, aided by a substitute teacher
    • \n
    • Must attend 24 hours of professional conferences and/or workshops.
    • \n
    • Must attend weekly KC staff meetings and special events throughout the year.
    • \n
    • Ability to understand and adhere to the minimum standards for childcare facilities in the state of Texas, as well as Kid Care Policies.  
    • \n
    • Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare environment is an advantage.
