Position Overview Gan Academy is hiring a Lead Preschool Teacher to work primarily with children ages 3–4. This teacher will help lead the classroom day to day, build strong relationships with children and families, support play-based learning, and help implement curriculum and child goals. This is a strong fit for an educator who is warm, reliable, emotionally steady, and genuinely engaged with young children. What Success Looks Like in This Role A successful teacher at Gan Academy:
Gets down on the floor or sits at the table to play, read, observe, and interact with children
Notices each child’s academic, social, and emotional development
Uses warm language, encouragement, and respectful redirection
Communicates professionally with families and the director
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a classroom of preschool children ages 3–4
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences
Observe children and help set individual goals based on their development
Read stories, guide play, ask questions, and extend children’s thinking
Help children feel heard, safe, important, and respected
Support Jewish values-based learning in a respectful school environment
Partner with families through warm, professional communication
Maintain licensing, safety, supervision, and classroom expectations
Qualifications Required:
Complete Colorado state-mandated early childhood courses
CPR/First Aid Certified
Background check clearance
Preferred:
Experience as a lead teacher or assistant teacher in a preschool setting
Comfort working in a Jewish values-based school environment
Candidates do not need to be Jewish, but should be respectful of and comfortable supporting the school’s Jewish values, traditions, and family culture. Compensation & Benefits
$20–$25/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Paid time off: 5 days
Paid planning time: 1 additional hour per week

Paid preparation/orientation time before the school year begins
Schedule
Monday–Thursday: 8:15 AM–3:45 PM
Friday: 8:15 AM–2:30 PM from August–October and March onward
Friday: 8:15 AM–1:15 PM from approximately October–March
