    Description

Where Clinical Practice Meets Leadership Growth

At Publix Pharmacy, we're redefining what pharmacy leadership looks like. As an employee‑owned company with a strong promote‑from‑within culture, we've built a pharmacy model that blends clinical practice, modern technology, and sustainable leadership development.

Our pharmacies are supported by Central Fill and workflow innovations that reduce dispensing burden and allow pharmacists to spend more time where it matters most - with patients. This environment gives emerging leaders the opportunity to grow clinically and professionally while maintaining balance.

    A Leadership Role with Purpose

The Assistant Pharmacy Manager role at Publix is designed for pharmacists who want to expand their clinical impact while developing leadership skills. You'll support pharmacy operations and mentor teams, while continuing to deliver patient‑focused care through MTM, immunizations, and wellness services.

You'll work full-day shifts in a predictable schedule and gain hands‑on leadership experience in a setting where advancement is driven by capability and initiative - not tenure. Many of our current pharmacy leaders, including supervisors and executives, began in similar store‑based roles.

    Why Pharmacists Choose Publix

    • Technology‑supported practice that reduces burnout and improves care
    • Leadership with balance - full‑day shifts and sustainable expectations
    • Clear advancement pathways into senior leadership and corporate roles
    • Employee ownership (ESOP) that builds long‑term financial value
    • A company growing 30-40 pharmacies annually, creating opportunity - not stagnation

    What You'll Do

    • Provide patient‑centered pharmaceutical care and build lasting patient relationships
    • Deliver and promote clinical services, including MTM and immunizations
    • Support pharmacy leadership in driving team engagement, performance, and workflow efficiency
    • Practice in a technology‑enhanced environment that prioritizes safety and patient interaction
    • Coach and develop staff to support high standards of care and service
    • Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to support operations, quality, and growth initiatives
