Fall 2026 Assistant or Associate Professor of Music Education: Tenure Track Date of Hire: August 2027 Description: Houghton University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in the School of Music at the assistant or associate level starting in August of the 2027-2028 academic year. Applicants for this position should exhibit a commitment to excellence and creativity in undergraduate teaching, a mature Christian faith, and an ability to integrate Christian faith into their teaching. Job Title: Assistant or Associate Professor of Music Education Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate upon experience. Coordinate and advise student activities with our collegiate chapter of NAfME Qualifications: Doctorate in Music Education Preferred, Masters Required At least 5 years elementary or secondary classroom experience Experience teaching online Possess a personal Christian faith that is reflected in one's professional and personal life with a sincere respect for and an agreement to live in harmony with the doctrines and positions of The Wesleyan Church, A Vision for our Common Life, and Behavioral Expectations of the University.
