    The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting in the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics (JCBE) invites qualified candidates to submit applications for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Business Analytics. This is a nine-month tenure-track position for assistant or associate professors, with a start date of August 16, 2027. The selected candidate will teach graduate courses in the Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Business Analytics programs, as well as undergraduate business analytics courses and potentially other statistics or business courses relevant to disciplinary expertise in in-person, online, and hybrid formats.

    The University of South Carolina Upstate is a comprehensive public university and a senior institution of the University of South Carolina. The College also offers minors in Business Administration, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Economics as well as a dual program with Landshut University in Germany. The Johnson College is located in a state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. facility in downtown Spartanburg.     Required Education and Experience

    Ph.D./DBA in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related field is required by the start date of the appointment, August 16, 2027. ABD candidates with a planned completion date by August 15, 2027 are welcome to apply.

    To qualify for the rank of Associate Professor, candidates must meet the requirements for Assistant Professor,have at least five years of relevant experience after the completion of the terminal degree, and a record of excellence in teaching, scholarship and service that meets the JCBE's criteria for promotion, to include at least three publications in indexed journals within the last five years.
