Job Summary: Reporting to the Chair of Nursing Department, the Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure-Track), Nursing (OB/Peds) will work with faculty and student body to teach competency-based nursing theory and skills in the classroom, lab and clinical environments in both CCNE accredited Prelicensure & RN BS with a major in Nursing. Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Teach 12 credit hours each in the fall and spring semesters, advise students, and serve on departmental and College committees. Instruct classes and clinical components as assigned. Supervise students in clinical settings. Coordinate clinical, lab, and course assignments with faculty within the assigned academic level. Evaluate students in classroom, clinical, and lab settings. Maintain regular communication with students regarding their progress. Keep accurate student academic records. Ensure course outcomes are met. Contribute to course development, accreditation activities, and program assessments. Prepare and teach College-approved courses, including syllabi, reading lists, and up-to-date course content. Hold regular office hours. Participate in admissions events and recruitment activities. Conduct research and publish per tenure track requirements. Collaborate effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Department Chairperson.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master of Science of Nursing degree from an accredited institution of higher education Current, unencumbered New York State RN license

3 - 5 years of nursing education experience is required, preferably in a college or university setting. Current CPR certification. Demonstrated ability in teaching, curriculum development, and assessment. Commitment to undergraduate teaching and student-faculty collaborative research. Strong commitment to the Colleges mission and to its students, faculty and staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field Experience or education in obstetrical nursing or pediatric nursing Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, and Canvas or similar learning management systems.
