Location: Howard University Hospital – Washington, DC
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) – Emergency Department supports clinical and operational leadership within a high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center. This role partners with the Nurse Manager to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient-centered emergency and trauma care while maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team engagement.
As a frontline leader in a Level I Trauma environment, the ANM supports complex patient care coordination, rapid clinical decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to evidence-based emergency and trauma standards. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, the ANM serves in a leadership capacity to ensure continuity of care and operational oversight.

Pay Range: $84,680 – $135,488 annually
FLSA Status: Exempt
Schedule: Night Shift (Monday–Friday); must be available for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
