Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)

Position Summary

$30K Commitment Bonus

The Assistant Manager, Nursing (ANM) supports the Nurse Manager in the supervision and coordination of nursing services within a designated patient care area. This role involves planning, providing, supervising, and documenting professional nursing care using the nursing process for patients in accordance with provider orders and established policies and procedures. The ANM plays a key role in promoting quality outcomes, staff development, operational efficiency, and a culture of excellence in patient and family-centered care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program or higher is required.
• Two to three years of clinical nursing experience. Specialty experience may be required based on unit/department (e.g., OR, ICU, ED).
• Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact State
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.

Pay Range

$43.40 - $59.68

• Position: 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week, includes 1 staff shift and 3 office shifts

About ECU Health Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
