    Sinai Hospital's 12-room General Operating Room supports one of the region's most diverse surgical programs, from neurosurgery and vascular to thoracic and a growing robotics service line. As Assistant Nurse Manager, you'll partner with the Nurse Manager to lead daily operations, drive staff performance, and keep the department survey-ready for a high-acuity surgical team.

    Responsibilities

    Manage daily operations, patient flow, and staffing coverage across the General Operating Room

    Lead, coach, and develop OR nursing staff to strengthen team performance and engagement

    Maintain a continuous state of survey and regulatory readiness

    Drive improvements in patient satisfaction and departmental efficiency

    Support administrative functions on behalf of the Nurse Manager, including scheduling and reporting

    Serve as a clinical and operational resource for the surgical team across all specialty services

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

    Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license required

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required

    Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required

    Minimum 1 year of leadership experience required

    Strong communication, staff development, and operational decision-making skills
