Assistant Nurse Manager | Maternal Child Services | Full Time | Mid Shift

Overview: The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities.

Overview:

The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s). Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.

 

3p-11p shift and call required

Qualifications:

Required Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• BSN required within 3 years of hire. 

Preferred Education: BSN

 

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months of hire
• NRP is required within 6 months of hire
• STABLE within 6 months of hire

Required Experience:

• 3 years of RN Maternal/Newborn experience
