Description

The Assistant Mens Lacrosse Coach is responsible to assist the Head Mens Lacrosse Coach for the management and administration of all phases of a sports program. The Assistant Mens Lacrosse Coach is expected to adhere to the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics.

Responsibilities

  • Student-Athlete Development: Assist the Head Coach in developing student-athletes academically, and athletically, including providing and encouraging leadership development opportunities, and educational programming and activities.
  • Practice Organization: Assist the Head Coach with scheduling, planning, and conducting regualr practice sessions as permitted by compliance.
  • Recruiting: Assist the Head Coach with the recruitment and selection of prospective student-athletes while working with the appropriate athletics administrator and adhering to compliance.
  • Administrative: Assist the Head Coach with administrative duties including but not limited to home and away event management, scheduling of contests, equipment and uniform purchase and maintenance, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • At least 1-3 years of work-related experience Required
  • Current and valid CPR, First Aid, EAD certificates Required
