    We're currently seeking an Assistant Marina Manager for one of our premier communities.

    Job Overview:

    The Assistant Marina Manager is responsible for all phases of the tenant services

    and tenant retention with a particular emphasis on administration of the marina operations, tenant

    functions, service requests and assisting in providing a quality Marina environment for the boaters

    and guests. In addition, the Assistant Marina Manager is responsible for Yardi, Payable and Nexus

    record keeping including receivables, collections and payables, assistance in monitoring the

    financial operations of the property to meet the goals of the budget/operating plan, meeting the

    revenue goals of the property, and establishing a positive, productive working relationship with the

    Marina team members.

    What you'll bring:

    • Essential Responsibilities:
    • Customer Service & Front Desk Operations:

    Answer incoming calls using the company's standard greeting by the third ring.

    Handle inquiries, provide general information, and route calls as necessary.

    Schedule appointments and tours for prospective tenants.

    • Leasing & Tenant Relations:

    Facilitate the leasing process, including verifying applications and managing new

    tenant paperwork.

    Educate tenants on the Wharfage Contract, Marina Rules, and emergency

    procedures.

    Distribute and manage keys, parking passes, and maintain related logs.

    Update tenant data in Yardi, including contract, contact, and boat information.

    Monitor and update documentation for tenants' insurance, registration, and

    licensing.

    Marketing & Occupancy Management:

    Utilize Lead Tracking Solutions (LTS) for leasing effectiveness.

    Stay informed on competitive and internal pricing strategies and conduct market

    surveys.

    Maintain an updated property tour route and note any deficiencies.

    • Financial Administration:

    Scan and deposit payments, manage returned payments, and apply fees.

    Keep records accurate and timely in Payable Nexus and ensure accounts are current.

    Generate financial and occupancy reports as needed.

    • Vendor & Staff Relations:

    Track and manage vendor interactions, ensuring compliance with policies.

    Assist the Marina Manager with recruiting, training, and supervising team

    members.

    Provide feedback on staff performance and assist in staff motivation.

    • Compliance & Legal Adherence:

    Enforce property guidelines, county rules, and company policies consistently.

    Address policy violations and breaches of contract with tenants in writing.

    • Other Duties:

    Available for emergency on-call duties, weekend work, and resident functions.

    Organize and assist in planning tenant functions and events.

    • Perform other duties as required.

    Minimum Experience/Training/Education:

    • Education: High school diploma.
    • Experience:

    Minimum two years in marina management, property management, or a similar field.

    At least one year of office administration and customer service experience.

    • Abilities: Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Software: Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to type at 40

    words per minute.

    Additional Desired Qualifications:

    • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree.
    • Experience: 3+ years of experience in computerized accounting and spreadsheet

    management. sales experience.

    • Software: Familiarity with Yardi property management software.

    Equipment and Tools Used:

    Computer, computer printer, telephone, fax machine, photocopier, calculator, golf cart.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Performs sedentary work.
    • Must be able to swim.
    • Requires use of telephones and computers.
    • Must be able to climb stairs.
    • Occasionally requires lifting 20 pounds or less.
    • Must be able to walk docks (where applicable), including steps and steep gangways.
    • Must be able to drive to various locations as needed.
