    Introduction:

    We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shift Lead to support store management by providing hands-on leadership during assigned shifts. The Shift Lead directs team members, ensures excellent guest service, monitors food quality and safety, assists with kitchen, opening and closing procedures, maintains a clean and welcoming environment, and serves as the person in charge when management is unavailable. The Shift Lead will help develop and implement strategies for growth and success. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills and be able to adapt to changing business needs.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support employees during assigned shifts.
    • Assign workstations, breaks, cleaning duties, and shift responsibilities.
    • Provide friendly, professional guest service and assist with customer concerns.
    • Ensure desserts and other menu items are prepared, portioned, packaged, and presented according to company standards.
    • Monitor food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and proper food handling.
    • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
    • Verify cash drawers and assist with approved cash-handling procedures.
    • Monitor product levels and communicate low inventory or supply needs to management.
    • Train, coach, and provide guidance to team members.
    • Help maintain appropriate speed of service during busy periods.
    • Ensure employees follow company policies, recipes, procedures, dress code, and safety requirements.
    • Communicate employee, customer, equipment, or operational concerns to management.
    • Assist in the kitchen, register, guest service, or other areas as needed.
    • Complete shift checklists and required operational documentation.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.


    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • 1+ year of restaurant, food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
    • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic cash-handling and POS system experience.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
    • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
    • Ability to coach and provide direction to team members.
    • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
      • Food Handler Certification required or must be obtained after hire.
